How can I make a public records request?

We recommend using this online public portal to submit a request for information. This will allow you to track and monitor the status of your request, and receive most documents in response to your request.

How long will it take before I get a response?

The Public Information Act requires that the City of Monahans respond "promptly" and "without delay." The City will contact you within 10-business days from receipt of your request.

What is a business day?

A business day is any day City Hall is open. This does not include weekends, holidays, or emergency closures.

How much does it cost to make a Public Information Request?

There is no initial cost to submit a public information request. If there is a cost associated with your request, you will receive notification of the estimated cost in writing.

How can I pay online?

Listed below are some payment options for credit card using an online portal or by phone. Please be sure to choose Gen-Police Department under card type. The Account/Permit section will require the crash/case/name or number, and in the comment section, please type CRASH/CASE/NAME.
